The Placebo Effect – Mystery or Universal Law?

Have you ever wondered why the placebo effect takes place and how is it really working?

I think the placebo effect is hugely neglected. I believe most of us know what it is and also I am pretty sure that, when you learnt about it, You was stunned and really surprised in a positive way. So let’s use the most popular example, when someone is seriously sick and they have been given the pill, which is supposed to bring their vitality and health back. The person really believes and trusts that this particular pill will stop their suffering and they will be healthy again, after all it is their usual painkiller which always help. And then…You are full of energy again and there is no sign of the disease that was haunting you before!

Who would even think this PAINKILLER is only a humble sugar powder candy that has been given in a professional looking like pharmaceutical box that you know so well? How come it has brought such a relief? Isn’t it so weird? And also amazingly amazing? Is it a miracle? What the eF just happened and why? Why the head suddenly stopped hurting like crazy? BECAUSE YOU ALLOWED IT TO AND YOU EXPECTED IT TO! magic happens – it is becoming true!

So, as I said, isn’t it a great neglect from our side to not fully figure it out and leaving this Placebo Effect phenomena so undiscovered? I mean, it seems like we do not understand the law that took place there. But the answer is so simply (what a shame we usually complicate the easiest things). We deeply BELIEVED and even KNEW that it will bring an expected results, no doubts about it… well, it was your usual painkiller after all, right? There was no doubts AT ALL !!

MY BIGGEST QUESTION NOW IS: How did it happen that we do not apply this law in other areas of our lives? I mean really, this is not something that only happens to the chosen or rich ones. It is a fact, Placebo effect really exists and it is not some kind of random, magical moment coming from nowhere. It definitely has a source and what is the MOST IMPORTANT and what you must know this source is inside „You”. The only thing is no-one ever taught us that. It was not in school, it was not in newspapers, they did not speak about it too much in television either. Instead, all your life You have been taught the life is a struggle, you cannot rely on yourself, you will fail, life just happens randomly, you does not deserve ‚xyz’ because you was not born in rich family, you should behave properly, you shouldn’t do this, do that, etc, etc. What have been told instead is to not believe in ourselves, in our abilities, and to not listen to ourselves. Unfortunately, now we rarely expect anything positive in our lives as we learnt for so many years that the life indeed is unfair, hard and unsatisfactory. We doubt that it can ever get better if it did not so far. Even worse, we keep thinking about all those things that can go wrong over and over again, attracting so in our lives.

„Wait wait wait, you want to tell me I am attracting all those things by myself?” you would say. Yes, exactly you do 🙂 Simply by thinking it, and then giving an equivalent emotion to this thought, we become like a magnets, that will attract things, people, events, situations that feel exactly the same…
For this one moment when taking the above mentioned sugar candy you have allowed yourself to be sure, to know and to not doubt – and miracles happened. Think of so many more wonderful and breathtaking miracles you could bring into your life…

Now, think about the situation in your life, that happened ‚suddenly’ and you did not like it at all, but of course at least you could say „I knew it is going to happen :(”
How did you? Oooo, maybe you have been thinking about it long enough and believing it as well? It did not have a choice then, it had to come because u allowed it to come and you knew it will come…
